International Maritime Consultations

Medo is one of the few medical clinics in Romania accredited for providing medical services for international maritime medicine as well as for international medical consultations.

Physicians trained in such activities must be members of IMHA (International Maritime Health Association). IMHA promotes, scientifically, the quality of seafarers’ health.

Health examinations are the responsibility of any medical practitioner who, under the new STCW 95 / MLC 2006 / ILO – IMO GL 2013 Convention, has to be certified to carry out this activity.

The doctor needs to know the details of the work of the maritime staff, what this involves and demands.

Medo has also signed international medical services contracts for companies such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oil & Gas UK and All One Health, services that are offered at our clinic.
