Echography

Echography (also called sonography or ultrasonography) is a result of sonar technology development during the Second World War. It is an imaging method used to visualize different structures (such as muscles, tendons, internal organs).

Ultrasound allows dimensioning, assessment of internal organ structure, and evidence of lesions based on real-time images.

Ultrasounds are sound waves with a higher frequency than the upper limit of human hearing (> 20kHertzes) that can penetrate an environment and can be used to measure the characteristics of the reflected wave, providing internal structural details of the environment.

Medo Brasov offers general ultrasound services at the clinic or at home based on appointment, the consultations being provided by Dr. med. Gontia Iulia.
